Hiya, thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. My name is Oka and I’m a fortmumble year old witch living in the UK.
I live with my partner in a quiet sleepy village in ‘the shire’ we share our lives with two horses, two rabbits and three cats. I am also a member and initiate of a Gardnerian/Alexandrian coven. This gives me the joy of celebrating with others in a group as well as doing my own thing on non coven nights. I also have an interest in Traditional (non wicca) witchcraft, the instinctual workings from the land, our best teacher. I meld and share both experiences in this blog.
The name of this blog says much about me, I’m a life long fan of all things horse, it was inspired by the things I learned as a youngster having horses in my care. From the first white Mare we had (a welsh section A) and her daughter to my most beloved elderly grey pony who sadly took the trip to the summerlands at the end of 2011. On their backs I learned to feel the natural tides of the land, saw it’s many creatures who were less scared of a horse than a human, and felt the first stirrings of what would later become my chosen Path. It doesn’t hurt that the UK is also known for it’s ancient White Horse chalk carvings, and I have spent many hours visiting the oldest – Uffington White Horse.
My path is (I’ve been told) shamanic, instinctual and quite often confusing, initiate or not!
I like to see the humour in everyday life.
This blog was started to participate in the Pagan Blog Project 2012, but has since and will still evolve.
